Is yoga relief for migraine headaches effective? I was so pleased to read that a medical doctor named yoga as his favorite alternative therapy for migraine relief! “My own personal favorite for patients is yoga, because it is so widely available and affordable,” said Dr. Paul B. Rizzoli, director of the John R. Graham Headache Center at Faulkner Hospital, Boston, Mass., as quoted in the Chicago Tribune.
Dr. Rizzoli also suggests the supplements melatonin, coenzyme Q10, and magnesium. Magnesium is a personal favorite of mine. I use the product Natural Calm (magnesium citrate) every evening shortly before bedtime for a restful night’s sleep. It’s also very helpful for relieving muscle tension, so it makes sense that it would relieve migraine headaches.
Dr. Rizzoli is co-author of The Migraine Solution: A Complete Guide to Diagnosis, Treatment, and Pain Management. Check out this 5-star reviewed book on Amazon! It’s also available in a Kindle edition so you can begin reading almost immediately.
